The Planet Wongo is the 4th planet of a Star in the Oberon Cluster. Legends about this almost mythical planet of mighty women, WITH NO MEN, have been passed around the Space Fleet since Humanity first ventured beyond its solar system some 200 years ago.
NAH.
WILD WOMEN OF PLANET WONGO is a joyful romp through the wonderfully awful sci-fi space operas that held us all enthralled when we were kids. As conceived by the warped minds of Ben Budick, Steve Mackes and Dave Ogrin, Wongo first emerged at the University of Michigan's New Works Festival. Since then, Wongo has had productions at Northern Kentucky University's YES Festival, an award winning run at The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) and a successful 5 week Run at the Red Barn Theatre in Key West, Florida. WONGO WAS JUST ACCEPTED TO THE WEST VILLAGE MUSICAL THEATRE FESTIVAL NYC, JUNE 8 -12 2011.
The premise? Two spacemen and their utility robot, on a three year mission,
- TO DELIVER CHEESY MOON CRATER CHIPS, WHERE SNACK FOOD HAS NEVER GONE BEFORE -
crash land on a planet of women who havent seen a man in 20 years.
WILD WOMEN OF PLANET WONGO is a sexy, spaced-out, sci-fi, send up.
WILD WOMEN OF PLANET WONGO is one of the most outrageously funny musical comedies to come along in years.
Check out the and ENJOY!
